Hey all, not sure if im in the right forum but id appreciate it if someone could help me out!
Hey all, Ive an unusual and kinda embarassing question for you all. First of all, my background: When I was about 11 years old I hit my head off a window and a bump formed on the left hand side of my forehead, about 2cm below my hairline. At the time i thought nothing of it. Now, 11 years later the bump is still there and causing me great distress. I have to grow a fringe to cover the bump because if anyone saw it it would cause me great embarassment and upset. I sometimes avoid going to certain places (lighting conditions etc) because im scarted someone might notice it. Questions: Do you reckon its possible to get it removed by plastic surgery and what do you say it is, and if you know what it is how much (ROUGHLY) do you say itd cost to get it removed? Once i have enough money im going to go see a plastic surgeon! Thanks all! |

I would have a doctor look at it and see exactly what the bump is. If it is bone I have heard of doctors "shaving" down the bone and maybe that would be all that you need done. Let us know what you find out and good luck! I hope it all works out for you.

Thanks Paendomom, i think its hardened blood or something like that, I went to the doctors about 3 years ago but i forget what he said exactly, but i do remember him trying to put me off doing anything about it. Hi, i have a similar bump on my forehead and am considering plastic surgery. I have had the bump for years and its starting to effect my confidence, especially in brightly lit rooms. the bump was a result of a spitfull game from a so called friend when i was young, which resulted in my head colliding with the floor. The bump is over my right eye and is halfway up the forehead. I can feel a bit of chipped bone moving within the lump which has been there since the accident. Can anyone advise me of any surgical proceedures that may rectify this as its a serious concern for me now. Thanks. |
